There was a very interesting documentary on SBS recently called “The Truth about Exercise”. The study tracked the progress of the participants over a month using scientific testing. It was based on research which now shows that  high intensity training for just three short, sharp cardio bursts of 20 seconds each three times per week can change the way your body metabolises fat and utilises blood sugar. HIIT gives the heart a nice intense rev up and there can be no more excuses about not having enough time! So consider incorporating HIIT into your fitness schedule this year. So who’s keen for a run?
